Green Tweed Heaven

I took a long lunch today to retrieve a package that the Post Office was holding for me. It was from my Secret Pal, The Masked Chicken!



Check it out! Green tweed yarn, a notebook, bath fizzies, a handpainted box, tea, a CD to run to, tamarind candy that I'm curious to try, fruit dip, a candle, beads, the coolest bamboo pen, and a great note of encouragement for grad school. And it's all green! That's my favorite color!

Seriously, this is the PERFECT color. Sage green and delicious! It's a merino, silk, cotton, and viscose blend. And it's really soft. Now.... what to make??? I want to cast on but it has to be something really special.

This round of SP on the knitty boards is coming to an end. And I have to say, I've been incredibly lucky to have such a great upstream pal. She's unbelievably generous and has taken the time to email and comment a lot. Thanks Masked Chicken! You're the best.

Holy Schmoley!!!

I just got home to discover a package from Elann.com on my doorstep.



It's 14 balls of Peruvian Highland Wool from my SP- The Masked Chicken! It even came with a cool pattern.



The color is better in this picture. It's a lovely chocolaty brown with lighter flecks. So pretty.

This package is getting to me at the perfect time. I need to put down the socks for a while and knit something else. Don't get me wrong, I love socks. LOVE THEM!!! But once in a while, a girl's got to have a little variety.

Impatient

I'd usually post these pictures in my weekly goals update but I wanted to show you how productive (impatient) I've been!

It really is a pretty small room. And there's still a lot of junk in here. More work for this weekend. But I definitely have a place to call my office!

And my new desk is also a great backdrop for pictures...



See???? It's my first package from my secret pal, The Masked Chicken!!!! She gave me three clues to her identity... Canadian postage, great sense of humor, and she's a talented paper artist.



I mean look what she drew on the envelope!

The package included tea bags, handmade tags to attach to gifts I knit for people, and the cutest note cards!!! Thank you so much Masked Chicken! You totally rock that your package got here on the exact day SP started. Very clever. I hope my downstream pal isn't upset that I'm not all that organized.
