What I've Been Up To

It's suddenly busy, busy, busy around here. Yesterday I graduated from my new grad program. So as of tomorrow, I'm unleashed on the public on my own. It's a little scary but I do think 18 weeks of training has made me ready. Plus, there will always be people around me to help and answer questions.

Other than that, I have a deep case of Christmas denial. I haven't started shopping at all. Oops! Hopefully I'll get into the spirit soon. In general, I'm just annoyed at the crowds and traffic. Yup, I'm the grinch this year. Hopefully my heart will grow three sizes in the next week or so. ;)

What I do have it new hair...

New Hair

It's short! And red! (Try to ignore my acne. It's just another thing to make me feel festive!) I got it cut today and I wasn't planning on going this short. Hopefully I can still pin it back for work. If not, oh well. My whole life can't revolve around work, right?

I have new shoes too... Check 'em out!

I've been knitting too.

Super Secret Project

The Super Secret Project is coming along. Still lots of garter stitch to go but maybe it'll be ready for Christmas. Although, this is NOT a Christmas gift. Therefore, there is no pressure to finish. But it would be nice...

Because there are other things I'm enjoying knitting.

Baby Mine

This is for Brian's cousin's baby, Grace. I'm actually almost done. Just gotta graft the underarms, weave in the ends, and block. So 95% there. 1 baby gift down. About 1 million to go! (See, I'm so cranky!)

Although, there is a little holiday spirit around here.

Sheepie Ornaments

I picked up these ornaments at Bath and Body Works. They are so soft! And I love how they look so sleepy.

I'm off to look for some holiday cheer!

And no worries about Christmas, that's what Amazon and gift certificates are for.

Great hair cut!! Just in time for the holidays:) And that baby sweater - omg, darling. I am having a bit of holiday denial too - it's coming though I'm almost done shopping - it's the wrapping - everything is jammed in a closet waiting for more motivation...

Love the new hair style. Looks great! Cutting off hair seems to be floating around blogland. :)

Last year I was the scrooge. New home, new town, no sis for Christmas....I was really bummed.

Cute shoes! I really dig the purple jewels. :)

Good luck on the baby stuff. Thankfully I only had one to do before Christmas. I have until Feb to get a gift basket together for the other one. The sheep are adorable!

Congratulations!

Love the new cut & color. And since hair grows, you can always change it later when you get bored of it.

Nice gifts in progress! And those sheep are too cute. I like to avoid B&BW like the plague during the holidays, but maybe I'll venture in there now.

Love the new hair!! I haven't done my Christmas shopping either! And you've seen the minimal Christmas knitting progress too! Oh well. It'll all get done, right?

Oh, I love the hair cut! And the projects look lovely!
PS - I had a really bad bout or acne about a month ago, and ended up taking some doxycycline until it went away. I have worse acne now at times than I did as a teenager! UGH!
PS - Watch some Christmas flicks - maybe they'll help you get in the spirit!

CONGRATULATIONS graduate! What a major accomplishment. Take a deep breath and say, "I did it!"

I think your hair is very cute and frames your face well. It looks good on you.

Try some Christmas music and cookies. They always put me in the mood.

congrats on graduation - now your avatar is appropriate all over again! The hair looks great - and redheads look lovely in purple, so perfect shoes too.

On the acne, I feel your pain - and offering unwanted advice ... I was in a bad bad way a while back with the adult acne and tried everything Sephora had to offer - then I used Proactiv. works like a charm. 3 years later, still using it. It's cheap and fab.

anyways, Xmas stress will pass, have fun with the baby knit and sheep!

Amazon. Best thing ever. Next to Tivo. And knitting. And Hugh Jackman.

Your haircut is cute! I just got mine cut the other week, too! But I have to straighten it if I want it to look half-decent,which is a major drag...I HATE having to dry and iron my hair!

PS-the sheep are stinkin' cute! And I just had Nartian add "Baby Yours" to her BMFA order for me!

First off, what's that pink yarn you're using for that baby gift?

I can't wait to see the SSP!

We need a Bath & Body Works in Canada. Argh!

Hair looks great. Love the red.
